When my child loses their very first tooth, they place it inside a little clay keepsake box and drift off to sleep, waiting for the Tooth Fairy. By morning, the tooth has vanished, replaced by a soft pink stone and a small note of congratulations.

In the quiet winter landscape of northern Germany, a clay box shaped from earth holds a gentle warmth. Resembling stone, wood, and moss, it once cradled that first precious tooth.

I began by creating this box for a child’s lost tooth, hoping it might also become a home for other treasured things. Soon, I started crafting them in different sizes.
